Foobar does not have convenient volume and timbre control. But, if your sound card allows to move an audio stream from one program to another, then this situation is easy for correcting: then is possible send sound from Foobar to Max/MSP DJ Stuff and adjust loudness and a timbre by Max/MSP DJ Stuff.

Further, by the example of sound card Audiotrak MAYA44 MKII, the adjustment is shown. Other sound cards are adjusted similarly. Audio inputs of Max/MSP DJ Stuff is 1 and 2 ASIO-inputs. Outputs of foobar are 1 and 2 Direct Sound outputs. Hence is necessary (see fig.):
1.switch off Direct Sound [1];
2.send a sound from 1-st and 2-nd Direct Sound output, to 1-st and 2-nd ASIO input [2].

Besides it, is necessary to coordinate sampling rate of Max/MSP DJ Stuff and Foobar. For this purpose, in case of sound card Audiotrak MAYA44 MKII, it is necessary to uncheck automatic sets of sampling rate and set to 44100 Hz manually [3]

Now you can check up correctness of teamwork Foobar and Max/MSP DJ Stuff.
1.Sets a slider, that shown in figure (he adjusts volume of foobar), in the bottom position and start playing in foobar.

Now you should not hear anything in headphones. If it is not, then it means what you have not disconnected Direct Sound outputs from physical outputs of a sound card [1].
2.Sets a slider to higher position - in headphones you should hear Foobar's sound. If it is not, then it means what you have incorrectly make mappings inputs and outputs of a sound card [2]. If playing speed of Foobar does not normal or speed is normal, but high frequencies does not hearing (because of wrong resampling), then preliminary restart a computer, again start Max/MSP DJ Stuff, and then Foobar.

Possible problems. The problem described below is found out with sound card Audiotrak MAYA44 MKII. If such defect takes place with your sound card, then try to get rid of him similarly. If after a stop playing Foobar from headphones you will be hear extraneous signal, then try connect to audio inputs of Max/MSP DJ Stuff an analogue inputs of audio cards [p1] and mute them [p2].
